BetterKick enhances Kick in your browser. It does not sell personal information, run advertising trackers, or collect browsing history.

Data stored locally

Preferences, filters, highlighted or muted usernames, and per-channel overrides use extension storage. Emote catalogs use IndexedDB with local fallback storage. Reconnect history is memory-only and is discarded on navigation or shutdown.

Public chat processing

BetterKick reads rendered public Kick chat only to apply emotes, filters, styling, and autocomplete in your browser. It does not upload chat messages, usernames, settings, or browsing activity.

Network requests

BetterKick runs only on Kick pages and requests emote metadata or images from 7TV, BetterTTV, and FrankerFaceZ. It does not contact a BetterKick analytics or remote-configuration server.

Permissions

BetterKick requests the storage permission plus host access limited to Kick and the supported emote providers. It does not request notifications, background alarms, request-header modification, access to all websites, browser history, cookies, or unrelated tabs.
